In Hod, the sephiroth of logical intellect and structure, the emotional water of Eight of Cups is not so happy because all the fantasies that appeared in Seven of Cups is revealed to be mere delusions and lost all its attraction. The result of corruption and debauchery is not necessarily disappointment but feeling apathy. Things are now have to be dealt with willfully not emotionally to abandon the past. This is a small but very powerful moment in which one has the power of letting go of emotional hang-ups and regrets. Continuation is not a virtue and completion is not necessary.
