The Princess of Swords represents the Earth in the element of Air as well as the 10th Sephiroth in the Tree of Life.  Clearly the stability of the Earth conflicts with the free qualities of the Air. Earth suppresses Air, restricting its movements and causing inner fear and insecurity. This is the same sort of sensation as how confusing thoughts can be. At the best the Princess of Swords demonstrates intelligence that functions practically dealing with material matters or conflicting opinions, but then on the other hand because she lacks spirituality of the Fire, and sensitivity of the Water, at worst she can be cruel by being egotistical and stubborn about her own ideas.
